902 Athletics started in a 500 Sq/ft garage.
We built our loyal clientele over the past 4 years which has seen us evolve quite significantly. We started with 30 members out of Joel’s parent’s garage and have continued to grow ever since. We moved to our second location on Logan Rd and rented a 2,500 Sq/ft facility which allowed us to grow to 150 members.
As more people in Lunenburg County became aware of 902 Athletics and what was offered we quickly outgrew the space. Pairing up with Active Edge (Massage & Phyiotherapy) we built our space on York st – measuring in at 8,600 Sq/ft, offering CrossFit, B-Fit (Bootcamps), Athletic Training, Personal Training, Dietitian Services, Supplements & Power & Olympic Lifting.
We offer a specialized service- we focus on community within 902 Athletics, our personalized approach to fitness allows each member to grow and become the best version of themselves. We continue to strive to be the highest quality outlet for fitness & health. We are looking forward to what the future holds and helping the South Shore become a healthier place.

I’ve played competitive sports since he was five years old. I always played at the top tier in hockey and finished my last year of competitive swimming being selected for the Nova Scotia Provincial Team. Being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease I developed an interest in simply exercising for health at the age of 14. I discovered CrossFit when I was 20 and was instantly hooked on a physical activity that I could measure, was focused more on performance than appearance, and that I could continuously see my improvement across a wide aspect of physical and mental challenges.
